Qingshan Forest

Located in Xizhi District, New Taipei City, Qingshan Elementary and Junior High School has long been dedicated to developing its Scouting curriculum. Teachers and students have been eagerly hoping for a unique classroom that integrates teaching, hands-on training, and interaction.

Due to the frequent rainfall in the Xizhi area, outdoor Scouting activities such as survival training, tent pitching, and team-building exercises often have to be relocated indoors. However, limitations including confined spaces, insufficient storage, and bulky furniture have made it difficult for students to fully experience the core values of Scouting education—self-exploration, practical action, and teamwork.

With Mountain Forest as its guiding concept, the project seeks to recreate the spatial experience of gathering around a campfire, surrounded by trees, within an interior setting. The Scout classroom is transformed into an immersive exploration base. Upon entering the space, it feels like stepping into a Scout campsite—ropes are woven through the wooden ceiling structure, forming a symbolic tent that draws the space inward toward a shared center, blending Scouting skills with spatial aesthetics.

In addition, the walls and ceiling are embedded with acrylic plant specimens handcrafted by students. These elements bring fragments of nature indoors, creating an abstract forest layer that envelops the central gathering area and reinforces the cultural context of Scouting.

More than a teaching space, this Scout classroom functions as a multifunctional base supporting team activities, Scouting practices, club operations, and interschool exchanges. Through spatial transformation and aesthetic expression, the values of Scouting are translated into a lived and shared spatial experience.

青山森林

位於新北市汐止區的青山國民中小學,長期積極發展童軍課程,師生們一直期盼能擁有一間兼具教學、實作訓練與交流功能的特色教室。由於汐止地區多雨,過去野外求生、搭帳與團康等活動經常須轉移至室內進行,但受限於空間侷限、收納不足與家具笨重等問題,學生難以完整體驗童軍教育中所強調的自我探索、實作行動與團隊合作。

以「青山森林」為構想主軸,設計嘗試在室內重現如同置身樹林環繞、圍坐營火之間的空間經驗,將童軍教室打造成一座沉浸式的探索基地。踏入教室,彷彿來到童軍營地——營繩纏繞著天花板木作結構,一繩到底、拉攏出象徵童軍精神的大營帳,形塑出圍繞中央聚集的空間氛圍,展現童軍技能與空間美學的結合。

此外,教室牆面與天花鑲嵌多組由學生親手製作的壓克力植物標本,將戶外自然風光引入室內,如同層層樹影包覆著活動核心,營造出獨有的童軍文化語境。

這間童軍教室不僅是一個教學空間,更是一處能支援團康活動、童軍實作、社團經營與校際交流的多功能基地。透過空間語言的轉化與美感設計,使童軍精神得以被感知、被使用,並在共享的聚集場域中被持續實踐。
